Benigno Guterres is an Of Counsel at Abreu Advogados and, since 2022 an associate at ABC&C, working essentially in both jurisdictions, East Timor and Portugal, focusing his activity in Civil and Criminal matters.
He has developed his work essentially in the areas of civil and criminal litigation, as well as labour litigation.
Particularly active in dispute resolution, representing various national and international clients in the negotiation and pre-litigation phases, as well as representing them in civil, criminal and administrative lawsuits.

Advising several international companies in setting up local companies in East Timor with activities in several areas; construction, catering, consulting, pharmaceutical, among others.

Advising national company in the construction sector in labour mediations and hierarchical appeal related to the undue collection by the General Directorate of Customs of amounts due for import of goods.

Advising national company in the construction sector in labour mediations related to termination of the employment contract and compensation.

Advising international company on various issues related to Public Private Partnerships (PPP's) in East Timor.
