Sara Ferraz Mendonça is a senior associate at Abreu Advogados since 2021, working primarly in real estate.
She provides legal advice to national and foreign investors on real estate transactions, portfolio management, including the development, restructuring and purchase and sale of shopping centres, retail parks, offices, residential and tourism projects.
In property projects, she accompanies the various stages of the deal, from due diligence to negotiation and completion of transactions.
She also regularly advises companies in the retail sector, accompanying them in various aspects of their activity, including the negotiation of shop utilisation contracts.
She has been involved in some of the largest transactions in Portugal in recent years.

Advising several leading companies in the renewable energy sector on obtaining title deeds, surface rights or large-scale leases for hectares of land in properties, for the development of photovoltaic plants and energy production units

Advising multinational groups on the acquisition of retail parks

Accompanying legal due diligence of assets, reviewing and negotiating contracts

Advising a bank on negotiating the sale of a large property portfolio

Advising a consortium of Tikehau and Albatross funds on the sale of a portfolio comprising around 4,400 properties owned by various Portuguese banks for more than 320 million euros

Advising investment house Deutsche Finance International LLP on setting up a joint venture with FS Capital and on its first investment in the Portuguese property market, through the acquisition of an office building on Avenida Duque de Loulé in Lisbon from Dos Puntos Asset Management
